IN THE MOOD…2016 Teen Slang

This is dedicated to moms with graduating teens. Don’t worry if you don’t understand any of this. Neither do the Youtubers in this video. Also, don’t admit you know this slang. Your teens will hate that. Don’t tell your teen that you are a stan (hardcore fan) of them. They will roll their eyes and think you are extra (over the top). However, if their grades are not good you could describe them as sus (suspect, sketchy) and they may be impressed with your slang sis (the new bro). We woke (being aware of pop culture) to teen slang because we want to know if our teen drags (gossips negatively) about us. I am sharing this to ensure our famsquad (selected tight group) is ahead of the curve before 2016 is cancelled (so over). This site is snatched (the new on fleek, high level of perfection) and so life (happening now, so amazing it makes your life). Don’t worry if all of this is way too much for you. Here is a quick simple quiz you must take to catch up on your slang Do You Know What Teenagers Are Really Saying? If you are super time crunched just add boots to the end of anything (for emphasis) and you will be lit (amazing) sis. Also, if there is one term you gotta know it’s Netflix and chill (hookup). You definitely want to be aware if you see any boy sending that text to your daughter. This post is on fleek (perfect) and slayed (killed it, succeeded in something amazing).

Oh my goodness, thanks for the mid p.m. laugh. It was the perfect work break. I’m going to test these out on my own teen (newly graduated 8th grader heading to high school, ugh) and see his reaction. Hilarious!
