IN THE MOOD FOR POWER (FOUNDATION + SKINCARE)

My mother saw Cindy Crawford on TV selling her beauty products. She asked me about the makeup with hyaluronic acid/SPF 50. I reminded her that she can get a lovely lightweight moisturizing lotion at CVS or Target for $8.00, CeraVe is fragrance free for normal to dry skin with hyaluronic acid and ceramides.  It was recommended to me by a dermatologist and I rotate it into my routine. I have fun trying foundations with unique ingredients (hyaluronic acid, seaweed, polymer technology, silk particles and fibers, time release technology, marasuja oil, light reflecting). In summer lightweight multi-taskers are handy (tinted moisturizers, BB & CC creams).  Yet I also like having a foundation with no skincare. I have the power to switch up my skincare as needed. I also like avoiding unnecessary added chemicals. It is excessive to apply more than one product with SPF. Cover Girl makes a silky pure liquid foundation called trublend with zero skincare added, available at CVS or Target for $8.00.

Thanks for the tips! It is so confusing to shop for skin care and make up in a drug store, and to know which brands (and sub-brands) are good and how they should be used. I have never used CeraVe, but think this is a great idea under my makeup. I’m going to try it

For the last 6 months I have been using Maybelline Dream Fresh Light Sheer Tint and I love it. It contains Titanium Dioxide and I find that this is the best ingredient in sunscreen and a very effective UV filter. Plus it is not that expensive only; $9.00 at Rite aid.

I like the CeraVe sunscreen. It has none of the Ovobenzone ingredients and works well.
